Goodreads Blurb:

One kiss could be the last.

Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.

Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.

Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.

But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne…it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.

                                                                Review:
Jennifer definitely knows how to write a story that captures your imagination.I never thought I would think of gargoyles as hotties but let me tell they are some serious hotties in here. And just for fun let's throw ins MEGA~HOT demon named Roth. Ooohh if I could jump into those pages just to be with Roth, that would not be just a yes bit HELL YES!!! Hello can anyone say "I'm sexy and I know it" ? Yea Roth can, that dude is gorgeous and he knows it and no girl who wants to keep her purity is safe around him.Ask him.he'll admit it with no shame.

Then we have Layla, who is half~demon, half~warden and considered an abomination due to the fact that Wardens are tasked with the job of eradicating demons from the Earth.I guess someone kinda messed up because now we have a girl who is the embodiment of both, and oh just for kicks fate decided she needed more troubles in life,so she was "gifted/cursed" with this craving for souls. So here we have lonely orphaned Layla raised my Wardens "out of the goodness of their hearts" but is shunned by other Wardens, some would like nothing more than to see her dead. One Warden she grew up with,Zayne, who is like a big brother/best friend is among the few who wants to help not harm Layla. As the are getting older,Layla falls for Zayne, who she thinks he only sees her as a sister.Lonely, confused, unable to kiss anyone without killing them leaves Layla in a vulnerable pace.In walks Roth to save the day, literally,he saves her from another demon.Did I mentioned there are those in hell on mission to kill her?
Who can she trust?Who really wants her dead and who really wants to help her?Or is everyone just looking out for themselves?
Anxiously awaiting book 2,October is sssooo far away!!!
I NEED BOOK 2 NOW!
