Release Date: August 20, 2015
SYNOPSIS:
Losing your ability to
speak at the age of seventeen; it’s not normal or fair.
But trauma, has a way
of throwing normality out the window.
Dani lives anything
but a normal life.
Her sister is married
to one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
Her best friends are
rockstar duo AD2.
And she has more love
around her than most people experience in a lifetime.
But that doesn't
change the fact their parents are dead.
Or that it's her fault.
It seems her new
normal is being a mute, living on the inside, unable to actually communicate on
the outside.
That is until
Hollywood’s newest heartthrob Lincoln Greene hires her as his assistant for the
summer.
He's gorgeous,
completely unavailable, and unobtainable.
But that doesn't stop
her from wondering...if things were different...would he want her?
If she was whole,
would he be the other half?
Review:
Wow,another best seller by Rachel Van Dyken! She has a knack for pulling out a variety of emotions from the reader. Capture was romantic, funny, heartbreaking, and full of love and friendship. There isn't one character that I didn't fall in love with(except if you could the brief appearance of Dani's ex-boyfriend and ex-bestie, they mak you want to just slap them upside the head). Of course I already loved Alec, Demetri, Nat, and Lyss. Pris and Jaymeson are the caring overprotective sister and brother-in-law of Dani's,and Jay thinks of her as a his little sister and will protector with all that is in him while worrying about her like a big brother would. They all like a great big family thrown together threw life's circumstance that have made them all stronger. In walks Zane with his playboy attitude just looking for somewhere to find some peace and maybe feel like he belongs because he holds a secret that's haunting him and I'm dying for his book to find out what it is.Yes, I need more Zane and it help that he has some kind of ties to our Mafia boys from Eagle Elite."Want me to kill him?" he whispered into my hair. "I'm half Italian. I know people, though they live in Chicago and despise my side of the family. I think it's because we're half Irish. But still, I'd like to think Nixon owes me a favor. After all, I did save his ass that one time in the sandbox, when the other little kid tried to take his Tonka." "So he owes you a favor…" I sniffed. "… because you saved his Tonka." "Never underestimate a toddler's relationship with his truck, Dani.Stealing a Tonka is grounds for war." But the stars of this story are Dani and Linc and I was rooting for them yet skeptical that there was something that was going to throw a wrench in their path that they may not over be able overcome. Let's just say Linc was her savior and her catalyst. Rachel gives us hint here and there of the climactic ending fast approaching but then it hits you smack dab it the face,BAM! and you nearly lose your heart at the revelation of it all and hold your breath praying for their happy ending to become a reality. |
