Review:
This is the first book by the author and I truly enjoyed and this will definitely not be the read by her. A group of childhood friends come together and you're taken back through time as they revist the past and work through issues with understanding. I love how the author fleshed out the story touching on issues of racism, relationships, class, coming of age, heartache and friendship all with gentleness and heartfelt conversations between these friends and families. Experience the dual timeline of these friends as you glimpse their present and revist their past.
