Larken is a natural born sprinter, but even she can’t outrun the darkness closing in. A shelter-in-place order has been issued, causing widespread panic. Some brush the alarm off as a drill, until people begin to disappear... vanishing without a trace. Left with only one option, Larken’s brother does what he must to save her life... and calls forth Aries.
Considered a traitor by his own kind, only Aries has the power to stand against the Zodia. But he can’t do it alone. Mystically bonded to Larken, the pair must band together for the fight to come if either hope to make it out alive. Neither anticipated the passion that would ignite between them. Yet, in a world suddenly thrust into chaos, it may be the key to their survival.

Grayson's silent obedience is tested when his father plans to exploit the marriage alliance between two of their greatest enemies. If Grayson submits, the blood of thousands will spill. If he resists, the girl who means everything to him will die.
The fate of Eyrinthia hangs in the balance. Some want peace. Some want war. All will be thrown into chaos.
Review:
An intriguing story of deceit, love, duty, and mystery. I love the princess decoy plot,I instantly had a Star Wars flashback to when Padme used a decoy because she was being hunted by assassins,so of course I had to read this story! But the author entwines a complex storyline of characters that keeps you glued to every page!

Review:
This is the first book by the author and I truly enjoyed and this will definitely not be the read by her. A group of childhood friends come together and you're taken back through time as they revist the past and work through issues with understanding. I love how the author fleshed out the story touching on issues of racism, relationships, class, coming of age, heartache and friendship all with gentleness and heartfelt conversations between these friends and families. Experience the dual timeline of these friends as you glimpse their present and revist their past.
