Review:
Whoa, that was intense! I thought that Garrison from Airicka Phoenix's Touch Saga was the worst of the worst .Oh no,not anymore. I think Megan's father, Deacon tops the charts when it comes to the vilest of villians. At the very begining you geta glimpse of the type pf man he is and it leaves you holding your breath praying he never gets his hands on Megan again. The sad part of all this is that although this is fiction, the autrosities that take place in the story really does happen in the real world we live in just minus the paranormal aspects. My heart shurts for the women who sufferd under Deacon's command. Now Megan and her mate must find a way to overcome inevitable and unseen obstacles and decide if love is strong enough to defeat twisted bloodlines.

About NOWHERE BUT HERE: An unforgettable new series from acclaimed author Katie McGarry about taking risks, opening your heart and ending up in a place you never imagined possible Seventeen-year-old Emily likes her life the way it is: doting parents, good friends, good school in a safe neighborhood. Sure, she's curious about her biological father—the one who chose life in a motorcycle club, the Reign of Terror, over being a parent—but that doesn't mean she wants to be a part of his world. But when a reluctant visit turns to an extended summer vacation among relatives she never knew she had, one thing becomes clear: nothing is what it seems. Not the club, not her secret-keeping father and not Oz, a guy with suck-me-in blue eyes who can help her understand them both. Oz wants one thing: to join the Reign of Terror. They're the good guys. They protect people. They're…family. And while Emily—the gorgeous and sheltered daughter of the club's most respected member—is in town, he's gonna prove it to her. So when her father asks him to keep her safe from a rival club with a score to settle, Oz knows it's his shot at his dream. What he doesn't count on is that Emily just might turn that dream upside down. No one wants them to be together. But sometimes the right person is the one you least expect, and the road you fear the most is the one that leads you home.
Hand rider on handlebars, close-up

NOWHERE BUT HERE Excerpt:

From Emily's Point of View. Set up: Emily is riding a motorcycle for the very first time and she's riding it with Oz.

THE MOTORCYCLE ACCELERATES AND THE FEW inches I had established between me and Oz: gone. My body slides forward, colliding into his, and we click together like two puzzle pieces. Heat rushes up my neck and onto my cheeks. My thighs are too close to his, too tight against his body and this is way more intimate than I have been before with a guy.
Even when the two of us kissed.
Oz veers left, away from Olivia’s, away from the main road, and the entire motorcycle pitches to the side. My heart thunders and my fingers clutch not only at Oz’s belt loop, but at the material of his jeans, and his hips.
Oz glances at me over his shoulder as the bike straightens out. “Lean with it, Emily.”
Right. Lean with Oz and the bike. Got it. The narrow road curves ahead and this time when Oz and the bike tilt, I move along with it. Oz releases one of the amazingly high handlebars and massages my knee before returning his hand to the grip. Whether in reassurance or to affirm I mastered the curve I don’t know, but either way, I sit higher.
The wind whips through my hair and onto my face and I shut my eyes for a brief second and pretend that I’m flying. There’s something energizing, something hypnotic, something inside me that begs to burst out of a cage in search of freedom.
The motorcycle kicks forward and our speed increases. Beams of sunlight filter through the towering trees and green foliage blurs together as we fly over the road. From head to toe, my body vibrates with the loud growling of the powerful machine.
My knee still tingles from where Oz laid his fingers on me and I’ve never been more aware of my hands in my life. I should let go of Oz’s body, but I can’t. Belt loops weren’t enough and my fingers have somehow edged up and onto his sides. Oz is solid. Yes, definitely solid. Every inch of him that I touch is tight muscle.
Oz is a year older than me, but somehow he seems older, wiser and hotter than any other guy I’ve known. Just the way he rides his bike creates this overabundance of confidence.
Warm sensations I’ve never experienced before blossom through me. We enter another curve and I lean with him. I like how in sync I’ve become with Oz and the motorcycle. Like we’ve merged into one.
The purr of the engine deepens and Oz eases the bike to a stop. His feet hit the ground and he turns the machine off. It’s as if all sound in the world ceased, or maybe I’ve gone deaf because there’s no way anything can be this still or silent.
The wind picks up and the silence is frightened away with the roar of the trees bending. Both Oz and I shift with the flow of air and Oz doesn’t move the bike until the breeze gentles.
Oz kicks down the stand and the bike tilts, but not too much. He sets a hand over the fingers that I laced together across his stomach. Oh, hell, I’m plastic wrapped to him. I drop my head onto his shoulder and it places me closer, and closer is not what I need.
I go to unglue myself, but Oz squeezes my fingers, sending a jolt of electricity up my arms. “You okay?”
I have to clear my throat to speak and that just sucks. “Yes.”
Oz slides his fingers against mine and a fluttering occurs in my stomach. It’s a light fluttering. Ticklish even, and my survival instincts scream at me to get off this motorcycle.

The Rearranged Life Synopsis:
Nithya, a vivacious, intelligent and driven college senior has always known what she has wanted: a successful career in medicine and the love of her family. She's even come to terms with the idea of an arranged marriage, a tradition her conservative Indian family has held up for thousands of years.
When a night of partying puts her on a collision course with danger, Nithya's entire life changes.
Enter James St. Clair, the smart, challenging and heartbreakingly handsome American.
As Nithya and James fall in love, she questions the future she and her parents have always planned. Now, Nithya has a choice to make: become a doctor and a good Indian bride, or step away from her family and centuries of culture to forge her own path.
The decision she comes to takes her on a journey that transforms how she sees her future, her relationships with loved ones, and how she learns to put herself back together when even her best-laid plans fall apart

Guest Post:
I’m so excited to celebrate the release of The Rearranged Life with you! Thank you for having me! I’ve been scrambling my brain trying to think of something to write about for this guest post, until it hit me: there are some interesting trivia facts and knowledge pieces to this story that I thought would be fun to share. Sometimes authors know middle names or backstories but that information doesn’t make into their books. Here are an exclusive ten things you didn’t know about The Rearranged Life.

1. When I wrote the story, I didn’t realize I was going to set it at my alma mater…but I ended up using it once I realized that it’s such a bubble. Known as Happy Valley, it’s a small place and because this story has so many outside and BIG influences like Nithya’s family, India, and James’ family, I had to tuck their love story away so it could grow on its own in an isolated area, but with the issues pressing down.

2. The story takes place in 2008/2009. Nithya, James, Sophia and Luca would be 28 this year.

3. So many things behind the names! Nithya’s full name, Nithyapriya, means “ever-pleasing”…fitting, considering the dilemma she has placed herself in and the obligation she feels. Her name is an amalgamation of her mother’s name (Priya) and her own. Priya is actually MY mom’s favorite name, so it was a tribute to her. Sophia’s last name, Bellamy, means “beautiful friend.”

4. James’ full name is James Elliott St. Clair. Maxwell’s middle name is Thomas. Both of their middle names are tributes to their grandfathers. Tristan’s middle name is Spencer.

5. Birthdays and zodiacs: Nithya originally began very similarly to me—now, the only real similarity is our birthdays—November 17th. She’s a Scorpio. James’ birthday is August 20th. I wanted to make him a Leo but didn’t want to give him any of my relatives’ birthdays, so the 20th was the only option. J

6. James and Nithya’s song is “All We Are” by OneRepublic…the only band they both like. Luca and Sophia’s song is “Top of the World” by Matthew Perryman Jones.

7. Pieces of these characters are based on people I know. Sophia is a mix of my two best friends in college—my former roommate and my best friend Liz. My roommate went to law school, and Liz is the most loyal person I know, a characteristic Sophia holds in great regard. Nithya is a bit like me. Tristan is very much like a friend of mine—he gives the best bear hugs ever!

8. The notes on the front of the book—the ones on the white background—are, in fact, my handwriting. They are from my biology classes, which are mentioned in the story. I took both the reproductive biology and embryology classes Nithya mentions.

9. A huge part of the book is on Indian culture—but there are so many cultures in India. For example, Nithya mentions her mother language being Telugu. There are over 250 languages spoken in India. Each state speaks a different language and does things a little bit differently. Crazy, right?

10. The Rearranged Life was originally 160,000 words—entirely too long for one book. I cut it in half before sending it to agents. What you’re reading is the first half of Nithya and James’ story. I hope, someday, you get to read the rest.
Annika Sharman Bio:

She received her Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education before pursuing her dreams of becoming a writer, landing her agent Stacey Donaghy of Donaghy Literary Group while daylighting as a preschool teacher. The Rearranged Life, her first novel, was written in the month before graduate school.

Review : ONLY FOREVER by Cristin Harber

onlyforever About ONLY FOREVER

The fourth and final installment of the Only series. Must be read in order.

There comes a time when Emma must face the secret she kept from Grayson. But she never thought it would be while she stood on stage at Emerald’s. The seconds she has to convey that her life is in danger are lost in the devastation that she sees rip through him.

She pinches her eyes closed. “Don’t leave me. No matter how mad you are, please, please don’t leave me here alone.”

But there’s more on the line than just Emma’s safety. There’s the danger that brought Titan’s Delta team in to the strip club in the first place. A threat that’s too close to home, too close to the family, the daughter and woman Grayson plans to claim.

I push away the sudden spring of fear. Life’s too unknown, with hidden enemies and unseen terrors. The idea that I could lose her again… it’s unbearable.

A love story like Grayson and Emma needs a forever love, and somehow they’ll find their way to her fairytale.

Review:
I don"t think the author could have given the character a more perfect ending! If you know me you know I like my HEAs. Although our characters do get theirs, it's still a bumping road on the way there. There are secrets that have been held in by both Emma and Grayson.Ryan may have been Grayson's best friend and something like a brother but Ryan doesn't know the real reason Grayson left or the hell he faced everyday before that.Emma worked at Emerald's once a week to help ends meet but never told Ryan or Grayson. After an eventful and scary night they must put the pieces behind them and focus on healing so their family can strive and overcome whatever may be thrown there way.
